Strength and Weakness

Two days ago I went through a psychological/personality test, which was one of the long march of tests needed for the Specialist admittance. The test required us to mention 5 of our weakness and strength in term of character/personality. It got me thinking for a while before I was finally able to jot them down. The difficult part wasn't finding my weakness nor my strength, because I've lived long enough to know myself. But putting it down to a paper is like making a big confession. I was scared If i wrote down the truth, they would judge me only based on that. But then hey, it came to my mind that probably, probably they wanted to see if we were confident enough to pronounce our strength, and if we were brave enough to confess our weakness. So I just wrote them down eventually.

What I claimed to be my strength:
- consistent
- calm/not panicky
- hard working
- creative
- loves challenge/adventurous

What I confess to be my weakness:
- careless
- not organized
- some kind of introvert
- forgetful
- moody/impatient

So what are yours? :)

Super Sweet Bites : Deepfried Cookies

As we know, the most important nutrition for our brain cells is glucose :p Well, that's why I'm being such a sweet tooth during exam times. I get hungry easily and my normal meals wouldn't satisfy my monster appetite. So I browsed for some easy DIY snacks and came across to this one : Deepfried Oreo. Tried both using the regular oreo and the double stuffed one, and can't help liking the double stuffed better! But it's really sweet, and for you who don't like too much sweetness in your food, you better use the regular one. So here you go.

You're going to need:
-Frying oil
-1 cup of pancake mix
-1 egg
-1 cup of milk
-cream filled sandwich cookies of your likings! (Here I use Oreo)
-Icing sugar (optional)

How to prepare:
-Mix the pancake mix, egg, and milk together. Dip the cookies one at a time until it's fully coated in the pancake batter. Fry in the pre-heated oil until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan/over heating the oil. Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil, sprinkle some icing sugar for garnish.

Happy trying! They're super easy and super delicious :D

Three Little Kittens :)

Welcoming three new members of the family :)

Yes, meet the three little kittens! They're 2week-old and still so fragile yet already showing their cuteness! The two of them are female, my sister said (she's the expert!). Haven't got them name yet, just call the fattest one "Gembul", the pink-nosed one "Pinky" and the black-and-white-faced one "Polem" (cause it looks like having sideswept bang or we say "Poni Lempar" a.k.a Polem here hehe). Cuteness overload!

By the way, still preparing for the admittance test, fyuhh, bunch of stuffs I need to put in my head! So, that's it, just a quick update cause I really need to share this cuteness to the world :p
Gotta go back to the books! Bye for now ;)

The Best for Us

WARNING: Pics loaded post.

There's no better way to describe our too long togetherness than these pics (and still many more of them!)..
You know, people say it's impossible for a male and female being pure bestfriends but indeed it happens :) Me and my guy-bestfriend Danang has been together since junior high, but we became close in senior high school, being in the same class. We shared the same interests and sense of humor. We were the two youngest students in the class. Things that pissed us off were similar. We had the same problems, always wanted a little attention, wanted to be the best in class but unfortunately never succeeded because there were always smarter and more determined people :p We were both a little body dysmorphic, I wanted to be skinny and he wanted to be muscly, so we went to gym together :D He knows all my guilty pleasure and I know his. He hated people that I hated and so did I back in the "childhood". And And we've grown up together, time passed, I changed boyfriends several times and he did too, but we kept friends effortlessly :D

And now finally, we are both surpisingly, but unavoidably having the same interest and ambition, to be a cardiologist. He's been dreaming to be one since the beginning of medschool, I just found out during internship year. But apparently, it is harder than we thought :( We have to compete against so many others to be admitted as cardiology resident.. And this makes us now not only bestfriends, but also rival. It makes me scared, really. The best scenario is, dear God, please, to be admitted together. But. If our faith says another, and I am sure whatever the result is, it's what's the best for us both. I sincerely hope our friendship will last, and we'll still help each other like we used to, like we do now. So readers, please wish us luck!

I know most of the people at my age are having the same problem as I am, done school, and currently stopping at the "crossroads", trying to decide which way to go. And the feeling is really torturing. But, somehow I've managed to decide and is now struggling to reach my dream. The lesson I learned all the way until now is that making decision is not easy. It's not like when you were a little kid and people asked you, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" and we answered, "a doctor!", "a teacher!", "a musician!". Things are much more complicated and lots of things to think about. Your parents, your spouse if you already have one, the opportunities, and many many more.

One thing is always the same. We still need to fight for whatever it is that we want. I know people out there say I shouldn't be too worried because of my background:) They keep saying I have greater chance. But don't they know that saying things like that puts more burdens on my shoulder? because if I fail, they'll be like "what??" but If i succeed they won't be surprised. They should know that things are just as hard as if I were "nobody", and in fact I AM NOBODY:) Being overestimated is actually much harder than being underestimated.

So let me fight for my dreams in peace and don't assume anything, we'll just wait and see :)

by Foster The People

I'll hold your hand when you are feeling mad at me
When the monsters they won't go
And your windows won't close
I'll pretend to see what you see

How long I say how long
Will you relive the things that are gone
Oh yeah the devil's on your back
But I know you can shake him off

And every day that you want to waste
That you want to waste
You can
And every day that you want to wake up
And you want to wake
You can
And every day that you want to change
That you want to change, yeah
I'll help you see it through
'Cause I just really wanna be with you

You know it's funny how freedom
Can make us feel contained
When the muscles in our legs aren't used to all the walkin'

I know if you could snap both your fingers
Then you'd escape with me
But in the meantime I'll just wait here and listen to you when you speak
Or scream

And every day that you want to waste
That you want to waste
You can
And every day that you want to wake up
And you want to wake
You can
And every day that you want to change
That you want to change
I'll help you see it through
'Cause I just really wanna be with you

The truth cuts us
And pulls us back up
And separates the things that look the same
But you can fight it off
You can fight it off
You can

And every day that you want to waste
That you want to waste
You can
And every day that you want to wake up
And you want to wake
You can
And every day that you want to change
That you want to change
I'll help you see it through
'Cause I just really wanna be with you

I think this song is damn romantic :')

Just a Regular Saturday at the Sinjay :D

Had a great date with both bf and bestie! Happiness! We went to the famous fried duck stall/small restaurant in Bangkalan Madura... Everybody love Sinjay... Athough the customer service system there is actually "GEJE" or we say it's actually crazy.. there are no clear queue so we have to "compete" with other customers to get our plates of fried duck+rice... No table number so the waitress/waitresses are delivering the orders by memory... But they're addicting and the rush queue system is probably one of the attracting factor of this stall.. You know, the sensation of "fighting" over your food :p It is proven, the place is aaaalways crowded and the customers are from all different cities! Amazing Madura :D

So have you been there? If you haven't then you should! ;D
